June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, and on June 21, people around the world will take part in The Longest DayŽ to raise awareness and funds to advance the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association. Wear purple on June 21 to show your support, and visit The Longest Day site to make a donation and follow participants’ progress.

One woman and her team are making a difference on The Longest Day
Molly Waugh and her team, the Cape Cod AlzStars, are taking part in The Longest Day as a tribute to her mom, who is living with Alzheimer’s disease, and her dad, who acts as a primary caregiver. Last year, Molly’s team raised an astounding $45,440, and she hopes to inspire others to follow her lead.

Team honors wonderful man who has Alzheimer’s disease
The Wonderful Colonel Robinson team will honor Col. John Robinson on The Longest Day. Col Robinson, husband of 38 years to Norma and father of Ann Marie and Christine, was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease four years ago. Team members in three states will honor Col. Robinson by participating in some of his favorite activities and taking on new challenges.
