1 in 4 Members of Congress Support HOPE

Fall is here and members of Congress have returned to Capitol Hill, determined to make their mark on the first session of the 113th Congress. You can show them how!

Ask your members of Congress to cosponsor the HOPE for Alzheimer’s Act!

Through the tireless work of advocates like you, many members of Congress are coming to realize the human cost of Alzheimer’s and the harsh realities being faced by those battling this disease. And it’s clear that there is a growing awareness of the disease and recognition of its impact on American families as the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S.

But because half of those with Alzheimer’s do not know they have the disease, it is critical that your members of Congress also recognize the need for improved diagnosis and care planning services for those battling this disease.

Earlier this year the Alzheimer’s Association worked with Congress to introduce the Health Outcomes, Planning and Education (HOPE) for Alzheimer’s Act. This legislation begins to address issues of education and support, diagnosis and care planning. And in a few short months one quarter of the members of Congress have shown bipartisan support for this vital legislation.

Will your member be the next cosponsor of the HOPE Act? Ask now.
