February 1, 2014 - Blondes vs. Brunettes Powderpuff fundraiser
The Alzheimer’s Association Blondes vs. Brunettes® flag football game will kick off on February 1, 2014 at The Little “Q” in San Diego. The two teams are divided based on the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes, while increasing awareness of Alzheimer’s disease among a new generation (Note: Redheads are “free agents,” permitted to play for the team of their choice). Funds raised will benefit the care, support, advocacy and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

March 21, 2014 - Memories in the Making Art Auction
Award winning local artists, activists and individuals touched by Alzheimer’s disease will come together Friday, March 21 at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe at the Alzheimer’s Association San Diego Chapter’s 17th Annual Memories in the Making Art Auction.

September 18, 2014 - A Celebration on Courage & Hope
A special evening in honor of World Alzheimer’s Day and dedicated to recognizing local San Diegans living with Alzheimer’s today or working to raise awareness and find a cure for tomorrow. At the event we will present the San Diego Alzheimer’s Awards for Courage and Hope to a local researcher, caregiver and advocate. More information to follow.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the Alzheimer’s Association largest fundraising event to raise crucial funds and awareness to support the more than 60,000 San Diegans living with the disease, and advance research for a cure. Volunteer with us at the Carlsbad Marathon!

Each year the Alzheimer’s Association cheers on our “ALZ Stars” running on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association in the Carlsbad Marathon.

We need 80 volunteers who would like to cheer on runners and help with course support! The Carlsbad Marathon is a fun event for the whole family and a great way to get involved with the Association! 

When: Sunday, January 19th, 2014
Where: Palomar Airport Road & Paseo Del Norte
Time: 6:00 am – 10:30 am

The January-March Education Calendar is Now Available!

We offer a variety of FREE classes that are designed for individuals facing memory loss as well as their families. Our classes help participants understand the disease, what to expect, how to promote brain healthy living and proven strategies to assist families in coping and planning for the future. We look forward to seeing you at an education program near you in 2014.
