2021 Legislative Priorities
The Alzheimer's Association Nebraska Chapter's policy priorities for the 2020 Unicameral Session include:
- LB 374 - establishing the Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementia Advisory Council to create and submit a new Nebraska State Plan for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias, require annual reports, and require an updated plan every four years - Take action now!
- implement the Caregiver Module of the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)
- enhance protections and resources for Nebraska's dementia caregivers

2021 Virtual Alzheimer's Advocacy Forum Series
The Alzheimer's Impact Movement Advocacy Forum is the nation's premier Alzheimer's disease advocacy event. Join advocates from across the country in Washington, D.C. for an inspiring three-day event filled with networking, training and education, as we advance policies to improve the lives of all individuals affected by dementia.

State Alzheimer's Plan:
- About the Plan: The Alzheimer's Association helped develop Nebraska's State Alzheimer's Disease Plan to address the needs of the 34,000 Nebraskans living with Alzheimer's and of those who serve as caregivers. This comprehensive state government Alzheimer's disease plan identifies critical issues, explores solutions, and constructs a roadmap to guide the Nebraska's development into a dementia-capable state.

Endangered Missing Advisory System
- The Endangered Missing Advisory is a system created by the Nebraska State Patrol, in partnership with numerous law enforcement agencies around the state, that can provide information to the public that may help locate a vulnerable missing person, such as a person living with dementia who has wandered.
