The Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter will hold a town hall to discuss the many difficulties and challenges seen by those living with Alzheimer's disease and their families. Participants will be able to share with their legislators the challenges you face personally in dealing with Alzheimer's disease. Specifically we would like to get your input on the four issues that are addressed in the National Alzheimer's Plan:

RESEARCH - Tell your legislator how important it would be to have available treatments that cured, prevented or even simply slowed this disease - as you know, something we do not have today.

STIGMA ABOUT ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE - Explain how the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's and other dementias would improve if there was a wider understanding of and sensitivity to this disease.

HEALTHCARE SYSTEM - Share about your experiences with the current health care system and what difference it would make if physicians and other health care providers were better trained to care for those with Alzheimer's and other dementias.

CAREGIVER SUPPORT NEEDS - Share on the importance of providing better support for Alzheimer's caregivers.
