What is AWARE?
AWARE is the Alliance of Women for Alzheimer's Research and Education, and part of the Alzheimer's Association Oklahoma Chapter's charge to end Alzheimer's. A woman's brain is her most valuable asset. It controls thinking, breathing and movement. It gives you your sense of passion. Your sense of humor. Your sense of purpose. And like your purse, you take your brain with you wherever you go. You'd never leave it behind. But Alzheimer's disease is forcing too many of us to leave our brains behind. This devastating disease places an unbalanced burden on women at work and at home, forcing us to make unwanted choices about our careers, relationships and other life decisions. AWARE Partners pledge an annual level of support that allows the Oklahoma Chapter to provide critical care to 287,000 people dealing with Alzheimer's in the Sooner State while fueling the scientific research needed to end this disease forever.
