What's a Partnership?
To put it simply, we don't just want your money. We know the people in your company are impacted by Alzheimer's disease, and we want to be there for them. A relationship with us means more than having your logo on our T-shirt, it means we are there for you. The Alzheimer's Association Georgia Chapter is commited to eliminating Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and
promotion of brain health, and to enhance care and support for all
individuals, their families and caregivers. That includes you, and anyone in your organization dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia. By supporting the Walk to End Alzheimer, you allow us to support you.
Why Alzheimer's?
This is a cause that affects your employees. Alzheimer’s disease is the largest unaddressed public threat facing the nation today. Currently, more than 5 million Americans are living with the disease, it is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, nearly 11 million Americans are acting as caregivers for a loved one with the disease, and more than 10 million baby booms will develop Alzheimer’s.Two-thirds of employed caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s report having to go into work late, leave early or take time off due to care giving needs. It's the biggest health threat our Nation is facing, and the numbers are growing at an epedemic rate.

Corporate Responsibility
Workplace community support is an incredible tool. Coming together for a common cause can unite employees, and the power of supporting your community doesn't just stay internal.

The Walk to End Alzheimer's had over 4 million local impressions in media coverage alone. It is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in 19 communities in Georgia, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions.
In 2011 for the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Atlanta, one Georgia company stepped up in an incredbile way. Inglett & Stubbs- a leader in Atlanta electrical contracting– raised $100,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter.

"This is a disease that touches everybody in some form,” says Phillip Davidson, Inglett & Stubbs. "Now is a critical time to act, educate, and move towards finding a cure.”
A key component of Inglett & Stubbs’ 2011 success was the “top-down” investment. Even though the charity selection came from the employees, support for the Alzheimer’s Association was driven by the Chairman of the Board and the CEO. Davidson says that the all-encompassing approach "really brought us together as a company and family." This allowed the Inglett & Stubbs employees to not only raise their fundraising efforts, but also learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how it will affect their lives.
