The Indelible Mark  The Indelible Mark My husband was diagnosed with Early On-Set AD in 2007. He just died three months ago. Who would have ever known at 47 I would be facing the next years of my life without him. Thanksgiving and Christmas were his holidays. It wasn't about presents, even though he was like a kid when opening them, it was about family, memories and taking care of others who had no one to celebrate with. At first, I did not think I could face this week or the weeks to come, but decided that one way to celebrate his life is to continue our traditions. My heart goes out to everyone who is dealing with this life changing disease. It is a journey with really no ending. My focus in now on the indelible mark my husband has left behind with no intent in washing it away. Many blessing to all who are dealing with Alzheimer's! |
