my dad the fighter!

my dad the fighter!
my dad the fighter!

3 forms of cancer couldn't knock him out! dementia couldn't, even Alzheimer wouldn't! what did i hear you ask?

My dad is a trooper, a fighter, in the period of 11 years he fought of 3 forms of cancer, bladder, bowel cancer and testicular cancer, only to diagnosed with early signs of dementia four years ago! Only last year did they fully diagnose him as having Alzeheimers, a the rip old age of 81, he was still fighting.
MY dad pasted away in august this year from a heart attack which the dementia/alzehiemers had caused, roughly, his health only deteriorated over his last 2 months. It wasn't my dad, not the real dad i knew!
Me and my 2 sisters, always knew my dad as been the most caring, loving and welcoming of person. He was a solider in early life just as the war was finishing, he loved bikes, and loved cars and of course fixing them, in fact he always fixed things, and that how he became a electrician.
To this day, i still don't know how to fix things, because my dad would do it all! My mum is now coping much better, time is a healer, and this christmas will be hard for my mum and the family, it will bring home the memories.
We all love my dad and will miss him forever.
Love you Dad xx
