The Alzheimer's Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter is excited to introduce our newest fundraising event, the 2013 Blondes vs. Brunettes powder puff football game benefiting the Alzheimer's Association taking place Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Stile Athletics Field House at the University of Akron.
Blondes vs. Brunettes has raised more than $2 million across the country for the Alzheimer’s Association since the inaugural game in 2005 hosted in Washington, D.C.
This gridiron competition is a volunteer event driven by young women that brings the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support the Alzheimer's Association. The event is an organized flag football game in which the two participating teams are divided base on the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes (Note: Redheads are "free agents", permitted to play for the team of their choice). While only one team will win the game, we are all champions working together to tackle Alzheimer's!
