Alzheimer's Association CT Chapter October 2011 E-News

Connecticut Chapter

Thank You for Walking to End Alzheimer's!

The recent fall Walks to End Alzheimer's were a great success, thanks to you!  Thousands of people around Connecticut particpated in the event, which featured a new Promise Garden Ceremony as a moving tribute to those fighting the disease.

If you missed the Walk or would still like to contribute, donations are being accepted until November 18th, 2011.  Help us move towards our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and make a contribution today.

Volunteer spotlight: Bright Yellow House Team

Last year was Sabrina’s first Alzheimer’s Walk. She was team leader of the Bright Yellow House Team, a team she formed and named in honor of her grandfather Herbert Barker who lived in a bright yellow house so that he could continue to find his way home.  Although Sabrina's grandfather passed away earlier this year, she walked recently again this year at our New Haven Walk to End Alzheimer's event to help those in need.
