DS Central GA

Hi, my name is Stuart and this is my sister Louise sitting with my Grand Daddy ‘E’. E says he is raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association by being a “Dancing Star of Central Georgia”. I don’t know what Alzheimer’s is but E says it’s a very sad disease that affects many people we know. He said if he were to get Alzheimer’s some day, he might not be able to remember Louise and me and that would be just terrible. Lea Lea’s Daddy got that way before he went to Heaven.

E lives with “Lea Lea” and they have been married 32 years. They have two children: Reese (our Momma) who is married to our Daddy Will and then there is Uncle Hays and he is married to Aunt Anne. We all live in Macon and attend Vineville United Methodist Church and E is on the Administrative Board. On Sunday nights everybody eats at E and Lea Lea’s house and E sometimes dances with Louise and me. He is not so good but I am trying to teach him what I am learning in ballet.

In the fall we go with E and Lea Lea to a place called Auburn and watch football. Everybody there yells “War Eagle!” but our Daddy barks like a Dawg. Last year Auburn won the national championship and E was very happy. Every now and then Lea Lea will pick me up at Stratford where I go to school and then we get Louise and have lunch at Central Georgia Rehab Hospital where E is the CEO. He runs some other stuff in Central Georgia Health System.

I think the people at E’s hospital get better and go home to their families but E says people with Alzheimer’s don’t ever get better……and that is why we need to raise money so we can find better treatment and hopefully a cure as soon as possible.

Louise and I are going to be helping E be a better dancer and you can help too by voting for our E!
