"Still Alice" author explores what it’s like to live with Alzheimer’s disease
Confronted by her grandmother’s illness, writer and neuroscientist Lisa Genova started her exploration of Alzheimer’s with one question: What does it feel like to have the disease? Her resulting novel, "Still Alice," was adapted into a film that has been nominated for an Academy Award.

Alzheimer’s caregiver makes the decision to participate in clinical trials
Alzheimer’s Association TrialMatch® is a free matching service that connects individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, caregivers, and healthy volunteers and physicians with current clinical studies. TrialMatch user Wanda Moore cares for her husband, mother and brother, all of whom have forms of dementia, and she says participating in a clinical trial has made her a better caregiver.
