It's Walk Month!

Please plan to join us on Octber 28th at this year's Walk to End Alzheimer's at Zoo Knoxville. We expect this walk to be the best one Knoxville has seen! More information about registering, volunteering, and donating available here.

 


 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are looking for a few folks to join us on October 7th from 1-4pm at West Towne Mall for the annual Volunteer Expo. Who better to help us recruit fresh new faces that those who already know the ropes?!


We will be attending the Senior Health Fair at the Kingston Community Center on October 17th from 10am-2pm. If you're free, please consider helping us staff our booth!

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Asbury Place Retirement Community has invited us to speak about the basics of Alzheimer's disease and caregiving. Feel free to join us from 2-4pm for this educational program. 

 


SUPPORT GROUPS

 

The Alzheimer's Assocation is pleased to offer an Alzheimer's support group. We will meet at the Alzheimer's Association office in Knoxville from noon-1:00pm on Wednesday, October 11th, and 25th. If you are struggling with the challenges of caring for a person with Alzheimer's or just have questions about the disease, please make plans to join us.

A support group facilitator's training will be held on Thursday, October 19th from 9am to 1pm, at the Alzheimer's Assocation office in Knoxville. This training is open to anyone interested in forming an Alzheimer's support group.
