Former governor spends first Valentine’s Day without his sweetheart
This Valentine's Day was the first Marty Schreiber, former governor of Wisconsin, spent without his wife, Elaine, his high school sweetheart who died in 2022 after a 20-year battle with Alzheimer's. On our blog, Schreiber talks about his life with Elaine and his experience as her caregiver.

Alzheimer’s Association hosts innovative pitch competition
Early detection and diagnosis of dementia are critical to allowing patients the best opportunity to access care and treatment. Toward this goal, the Alzheimer’s Association worked with MATTER, a health technology incubator, to host a pitch competition for solutions to increase cognitive assessment and early detection and diagnosis within primary care settings. The winner of the competition was recently announced.
