Shift seen in who is funding Alzheimer’s research
The U.S. National Institutes of Health and nonprofits like the Alzheimer’s Association are replacing drug companies as leaders of Alzheimer's therapy research, new studies show. Maria Carrillo, Alzheimer's Association chief science officer, said, "Alzheimer's Association funding, partnerships and advocacy for federal Alzheimer's research funding are now the primary drivers of growth in Alzheimer's clinical trials, filling the gap left by pharma's retreat, and growing and diversifying the front end of the drug pipeline."

In celebration of Free Pizookie® Day on Wednesday, June 30, diners will receive a free Pizookie® with any meal $19.95 and above. BJ’s will donate 25 cents for every Pizookie® ordered up to $20,000.
