House approves Alzheimer's and dementia research funding increase
The House of Representatives has voted to approve a $350 million Alzheimer's and dementia research funding increase and $10 million to implement the BOLD Infrastructure for Alzheimer's Act. The Association expects the Senate to vote on the bill soon and anticipates the president will sign it into law by the end of the year.

The HBO film "Moonlight Sonata: Deafness in Three Movements" interweaves Alzheimer's disease, deafness and familial love into one poignant story. Oscar-nominated filmmaker Irene Taylor Brodsky talks about documenting her deaf son's journey learning to play Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" as her deaf father is diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
