Increased napping may be linked with Alzheimer's
Increased, excessive napping could be an early indication of the development of Alzheimer's, according to research published in Alzheimer's & Dementia®: The Journal of the Alzheimer's Association. Study results suggest that sleep problems may be closely linked to the brain cell death seen in the disease. Experts caution that additional research on the relationship between sleep and Alzheimer's is necessary and that taking a nap as part of a daily routine isn't necessarily a cause for concern.
