Alzheimer's advocates take fight to Capitol Hill
More than 1,200 advocates from all 50 states stormed Capitol Hill on April 2 in the culmination of the 2019 Alzheimer's Impact Movement Advocacy Forum. The advocates, donning purple sashes, were armed with a clear message for lawmakers: "The federal government must take bold action now to confront the Alzheimer's crisis."

Advocates celebrate, look to the future at National Alzheimer's Dinner
A capacity crowd of dedicated advocates gathered at the National Alzheimer's Dinner April 1 to honor leaders who work tirelessly in the fight to end Alzheimer's and to celebrate advances made over the past year. Actress and Alzheimer's Association Celebrity Champion Ashley Williams emceed the event.

Alzheimer's, advocacy bring family together
During the Advocacy Forum on April 1, Rod Blough, his wife, Jennifer, and their son, Cole, took the stage to share their Alzheimer's story. Rod, 60, was diagnosed with both younger-onset Alzheimer's and Lewy body dementia in 2017, and the family has grown closer through the experience.
