NBA's Frazier reflects on life lessons from his grandmother
Tim Frazier of the National Basketball Association's New Orleans Pelicans calls his grandmother, who died in 2008 of complications from Alzheimer's disease, a "key player" on his team. Frazier says his grandmother used the time they spent together to share her life lessons and pass on her wisdom.

Gut bacteria may play role in dementia
New research suggests that people living with dementia show a different makeup of gut bacteria, raising questions if it plays a role in developing the brain disease. Researchers found that compared with dementia-free older adults, those living with the disease typically had a different gut "microbiome" — the trillions of bacteria and other microbes in the digestive system. Experts stressed that this research doesn't prove that gut bacteria directly contributes to dementia.
