Woman living with early-onset Alzheimer’s wasn’t ready to retire
Wendy Mitchell was 58 when she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. She felt she could still perform her job if adjustments were made, but her manager eased her into early retirement. Mitchell regularly speaks about her experience with Alzheimer’s and communicates that people living with the disease can still contribute to society and the workplace.

Soft Surroundings supports the Alzheimer's Association with in-store program
Through Sept. 30, Soft Surroundings, a women's apparel and home décor retailer, is fighting Alzheimer's by offering in-store guests a $20 Shopping Pass that provides customers with even greater savings on current or future purchases. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the Shopping Pass will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association.
