Golf Channel’s “Feherty” to focus on Alzheimer’s disease
In conjunction with Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, the Golf Channel’s “Feherty” program will focus on Alzheimer’s disease on June 27. Host David Feherty will discuss his father’s battle with Alzheimer’s and interview golfer and broadcaster Peter Oosterhuis, who announced in 2015 that he has the disease. In addition, James A. Hendrix, Ph.D., Alzheimer’s Association director of global science initiatives, will appear on the Golf Channel’s "Morning Drive" and SiriusXM radio’s “Fairways of Life” the following morning to discuss Alzheimer's disease and its impact on families.

Caregiver finds light amid the darkness of Alzheimer’s
Sara Gearheart is a caregiver for her father, who is living with Alzheimer’s. Throughout the family’s journey with the disease, Gearheart has learned to treasure every moment she spends with her dad, such as when he was able to attend her graduate school graduation ceremony.
