Facts and Figures highlights financial impact of Alzheimer’s disease on families
Many relatives and friends providing financial support or care to people with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias use their retirement savings, cut back on spending and sell assets to pay for disease-related expenses, according to the Alzheimer’s Association 2016 Alzheimer’s Disease Facts and Figures report. About one in five go hungry due to lack of funds.
