Granddaughter honors late grandfather by swimming on The Longest Day
|
For Grace Arredondo, watching her grandfather lose his identity due to Alzheimer’s was one of the most difficult situations her family has ever had to cope with. Ever since his death, Grace has wanted to raise awareness and funds to combat the disease. She created a team for The Longest Day® and will swim 16 miles on June 21 as a symbolic tribute to those caregivers who work from sunrise to sunset to care for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s.
