Mediterranean diet may reduce genetic risk of Alzheimer's
Results of a large new study show that a Mediterranean-style diet emphasizing fruits, vegetables, whole grains and extra virgin olive oil may help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Researchers found that study participants who followed a Mediterranean-style diet had a lower risk of developing dementia, especially those in the high genetic risk group for Alzheimer's.
