Michigan State Advocacy Day 2017
We are excited to invite you to raise your voice at this year's MICHIGAN ALZHEIMER'S ADVOCACY DAY on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
There are currently 180,000 Michiganders living with Alzheimer's and over 500,000 caregivers that provide unpaid care to their loved ones with the disease. It is the 6th leading cause of death and the only disease in the top ten causes of death that currently has no cure, no treatment, and not even a way to slow its progression.
At the Michigan Alzheimer's Advocacy Day you will be empowered to share your story with your state Representative and Senator and ask for their support for state policies which will assist families faced with this devastating disease. Alzheimer's Advocacy Day will be held in the Mackinac Room in the Anderson House Office Building which is on the corner of Ottowa and Capitol Streets. Along with meeting with your state legislators you'll learn more about the disease and how you can be an effective voice in the fight against Alzheimer's.
This event is free and open to the public.
