Caregiver University is a one-day, mini-conference dedicated to family and professional caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Lunch and social work and nursing continuing education credits are included in registration.
Registration Opens at 8:30 a.m., workshops begin at 9 a.m.
Caregiver University includes a series of workshops dedicated to enhancing caregivers’ ability to provide quality care and support the individual they are caring for with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia, while maintaining their own health and wellness.
Participants will also learn restorative breathing techniques and have an opportunity to meet others dealing with similar challenges for the purpose of sharing ideas and encouragement for the difficult and rewarding role of caregiving.
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the essentials and standards of the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission through the joint sponsorship of CAMC Health Education and Research Institute and WV Alzheimer’s Association.
Nurses - CAMC Health Education and Research Institute is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by West Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accrediation.
