
The
Alzheimer’s Association Midlands Chapter is hosting the 5th Annual
Oktoberfest on Friday, October 19th, 2012 from 7:00p – 10:00p at the
German
American Society (3717 South 120th Street).
Oktoberfest is an opportunity for the community to celebrate
the traditional German harvest festival, bid on auction items and raise funds
for the Alzheimer’s Association Midlands Chapter. Funds raised by Oktoberfest
are dedicated to foster research, provide care and support for persons with the
disease and their caregivers and educational programs to lower the risk for the
disease. Over the past four years, Oktoberfest has raised over $35,000 in
support of the Alzheimer’s Association Midlands Chapter.
The
night begins with the silent auction at 7:00p, followed by authentic German
food, beer and music. Tickets are $75 per person, if registered by October 15th
ticket price includes FREE admission for a guest, two drink tickets and an
