Seminar Overview
Alzheimer’s disease – a degenerative brain disease that’s the most common form of
dementia and the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. – affects one in 10 Americans
over the age of 65. Characterized by a decline in memory, language, problem-solving and
other cognitive skills, it affects a person’s ability to perform everyday activities. There is
no known cure.
If you or someone you love is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or another form
of dementia, are you prepared to help them physically, emotionally and financially?
We’ve crafted a presentation, “The Alzheimer’s Tsunami: Preparing for the Worst,” to help
provide a better understanding of the effects of this debilitating disease. Major seminar
themes include:
• Understanding Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
• Planning for the costs associated with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
• Preparing and executing legal, financial and medical documents
• Resources available for patients, caregivers and their families
