Annual Spring Conference
"Alternative Approaches to Dementia Care: Staying Connected Along the Journey"
We are excited to invite you and your organization to our annual Spring Conference, “Alternative Approaches to Dementia Care: Staying Connected along the Journey”, on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Near the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
We are pleased to announce the Alzheimer’s Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter is collaborating with the Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center as we continue to grow and expand our conference. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response of the 2016 conference, we have decided to expand the 2017 conference to a full day event.
The conference is geared towards family and professional caregivers to explore alternative approaches to dementia care. Conference speakers will cover topics on mindfulness, behavioral interventions, and humor. Karen Stobbe, conference keynote speaker, improvisational actress and author of the book “Sometimes Ya Gotta Laugh”, will explore Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving, and stress based on the rules of improvisation.
Registration Will Close on Monday March 17th at 5pm.
