The Lawrence (Bud) Joseph Ring Family memorial was created to honor the memory of our father and grandfather whom we loved very much. He struggled with Alzheimer's disease for many years, taking away from him and his family the enjoyment of his last years. That struggle ended when he passed away on January 23, 2009.
We want to remember our father and grandfather as he was before this disease struck; his laughter, his outpouring of care and concern for his loved ones, and his storytelling among many of his attributes.
Through this memorial fund, we hope to help the Alzheimer's association in their research to find a prevention and cure for this disabling disease. We thank everyone who contributes in our loving father's memory.

Dear Ring family, I was so sadded at the loss of your dear Dad and Grandpa. He was such a wonderful fun person to be around. I enjoyed many visits with Florence and Bud while I lived in Kalispell and after when I would stop to see them on my way to and from Kalispell to visit my daughter Brenda Sandberg Profitt. Our children knew each other. Florence used to babysit for me when she took care of Ann Marie and Eric. Florence was one of the best friends I ever had and now I will miss them both so much. Love and Prayers to all, Sincerely, Annette Thomas

I will always remember the laughs and stories I shared with Bud and Florence living next door as my neighbors! I have never met such a great and caring family! I've watch everyone grow up and know what a great relationship you all had with your parents. I never saw them without having a laugh or two and could always feel how much they cared for each other. Always so proud of their family and telling me about each one and the grandchildren. The "Ring Family" we'll always have a special place in my heart.

Growing up I was truly privileged to have a "grandfather" next door. Bud always had a good story to tell, a smile on his face during daily routines - like mowing eveyone's yard not just his own, and always ensured he was active in our neighborhood. His smile will be missed.
Love,
Lisa

We will never forget the good times that we shared with Bud working in Tenino and in Spokane. He was a good friend and a Great teacher. He earned our utmost respect. His jolly disposition and smiling face could always brighten your day. If he didn't think you did something right he would let you know, but he never held it against you.
He loved Florence and the kids with all of his heart. He was so proud of all of them. He used to tell stories of their childhood memories. Our favorite was of the boys taking Susan for a ride in the wagon as a baby and trying to sell her to the neighbors.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

We didn't know Bud well, but we have good memories of him, beginning many years ago with his appearance at the "Ring picnics" in the summer. I didn't realize he had the same middle name, "Joseph" as his cousin, my father had.
