Marge was born in LaFollette, TN in 1932. She and her family later moved to Harlan, KY where she met the love of her life, Joe Anderson. They married on July 18, 1953. They moved to Arlington Heights, IL in 1963 and later to Rolling Meadows, IL in 1965 where they raised their 3 children, Jeff (Cathy) Anderson, Wes (Nancy) Anderson and Patti (Bill) Anderson Griffith. Marge had 6 grandchildren, Stacey, Brian, Kendall, Jenna (Brandon Reed), Mollie and Bridget and 3 great-grandchildren, Kylie Anderson and Noelle and Penelope Barron.
Marge was a 411 telephone operator for over 42 years working first for Southern Bell and then Illinois Bell, Ameritech and then AT&T. Her hobbies included sewing, cross-stitch and reading. Her favorite past time was spending time with her grandchildren.
Marge was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2016. Both her father, Golden Sr., and sister, Virginia, struggled with the disease.
