Celebrating the life and legacy of Leonard E. Imanuel, 93 years old of West Berlin, New Jersey who unfortunately lost his 3-year battle with Alzheimer's on February 1, 2024. He was immediately put on medications to slow the progress however, at this time, there is no known cure. As a family, we did our research, and read books yet nothing adequately prepares you for the changes a person goes through as a result of this disease.

Despite the changes, Dad never missed a beat. He was so loving and appreciative of everything and everyone around him. Our saving grace was he never lost his incredible sense of humor. His strength and positive attitude was an inspiration to many and will remain his legacy. He loved telling stories of his days on the ship as a Merchant Marine along with playing his music from around the world.

Dad lived life to the fullest, always giving to others yet never expecting anything in return. He taught us to believe in who we are and to be the best at whatever we decide to do and how you can meet anyone at a grocery store or gas station, and they can become your lifelong friends.

As a family, we have so many wonderful memories of Dad, Lenny, Uncle Leonard, Oompie, Oom Naldie, Dutchie, Grandpops, Cuppy-Cuppy. He brought and kept us together until his last breath at home in West Berlin, NJ on February 1, 2024.

This is a tribute to all who are battling Alzheimer's and to the caregivers who did such an incredible job ensuring that our Dad Leonard was loved and continued to live with dignity. Please be a part of this movement to help find a cure for this devastating disease.

On behalf of the Imanuel Family, we thank you for supporting this wonderful organization in helping to find a cure.
