Our Mom was the center of our family, and even of our world. She was always exactly what each of us needed at any given moment, and could be firm, funny, friendly, or warm and fuzzy, depending on the circumstance.

She was one of the smartest people we knew, and always had answers, and was always in control, which made the cruelty of her disease feel even more profound.

But even though Alzheimer's took away so many things before finally claiming her physical life, she remained a woman who loved deeply and fiercely and was loved in return by all who knew her. She was a born nurturer and caregiver and that spark remained alive in her until the very end.

Alzheimer's Disease is a painful progressive illness that, although it has taken our beloved Mother, it can never take away the precious moments we were each blessed to be able to cherish throughout the years.

She may no longer be with us in body, but her legacy is a lasting and far-reaching one.

As her daughters, we only remember the Mom she was when she was healthy and strong. We will miss her with all our hearts, but also know that once this disease begins to take over, there could only ever be one outcome.

We said goodbye to our beloved Mom on May 2, 2023, 6 days before her 77th birthday.

We love & miss you, Mom.
Teresa, Tammy, & Trina

You live on in the hearts and minds
Of the loving family you left behind.
Memory is a lovely lane,
Where hearts are ever true,
A lane I so often travel down,
Because it leads to you.

We can only hope that a cure will be found and prevent other families from suffering as we have.

To help fund the search for that cure, we ask that you consider making a donation to help end Alzheimer's. As the world's largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Alzheimer's Association is committed to accelerating the discovery of methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.

In the name of our Mother, Judy Ray, we thank you for your gift to the cause.
