I want to thank each of you for your contribution in Bill's honor. A few of you I don't know, forgive me for that. Living with Bill is so different than through the earlier years when he was strong and made decisions for his family. I have had to take charge of many things that I never did before.
He maintains a good disposition which makes our story better than many others'. I am grateful for that.

When I was a little girl, my dad was the smartest man in the world. But he was also funny, sweet, good, and loving. We made lots of good memories together.
Today I see dementia take away so much of the man I knew, but he is still sweet and loving, and a good man to the core. He will always be my sweet Dad, no matter what.

I remember when Bill, the tall dark handsome man, came to take my sister as his bride and move her from Alabama to Texas. That was about 63 years
ago, if my calculations are correct. I was a little angry with him at first for taking my sister but Bill quickly worked his way into my heart and has been there all these years. Bill, I love you deeply and am so proud of you. There is absolutely no one on earth with a bigger heart! You have been a good example in living for God. I love you and Jo and am so proud to call you "brother!"
