Celebration of Arlene's Life

A celebration of her life will be held on January 28, 2017, at 2:00pm at Unity Church, Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood, WA.

September 30, 1935 - January 2, 2017

Arlene Lillian Heale, 81, of Everett, WA, met her Lord and Savior on January 2, 2017, with family at her side ultimately losing her fight with Alzheimer’s.

Arlene was born in Racine, WI, on September, 30, 1935, to Fred and Verna Baever and was one of seven siblings. At the age of 10, she moved with her family to the Seattle area where she spent her childhood and graduated from high school. She married Robert Heale of Seattle on January 25, 1955, and was married for 32 years. During that time, she had four sons and moved to a number of places including Vientiane, Laos, until settling down in Warden, WA in 1971.

She was mainly a stay-at-home mom and neighborhood Avon representative, until 1985 when she moved to Moses Lake before her youngest graduated from high school. She entered the workforce while in Moses Lake working for Carnation Inc. before moving back to Seattle to return to school to complete her education to earn a bookkeeping/accounting certificate. After she earned her certificate, she moved to California to utilize her bookkeeping and accounting skills and spend time with her son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. In 2004, she returned to Seattle to work for the Boeing Company doing data entry.

Arlene had a great relationship with her sons and loved spending time with them and supporting their endeavors. She spent many a weekend driving the family motorhome around Washington and to near-by states for motorcycle races, metal detection hunts, air shows, and other events her family participated in. Having raised four boys, she was tenacious with a quick wit and great sense of humor. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting (everyone she loved has a blanket and a set of pot holders).

Arlene is survived by her sons Robert & Nadya Heale of Spokane, WA, John Heale & Julie of Lynnwood, WA, Kenneth & Ann Heale of Spokane, WA, and Timothy Heale & Sandi of Everett, WA; Seven grandchildren Robert, Caleb, Shawn, Joe, Eric, Paige, and Seth; Sisters Verna (Eldon) Swanstrom, and Sharon (Jerry) Apeland; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Verna Baever; brothers, Donald Baever and Jack Baever; and sisters, Dolores Lyons and Beverly Payne.
