A person's first bond and love is with their mother, if they are fortunate enough to have a wonderful one like I did. Yesterday, I lost this selfless woman to a horrible disease that robs one of their dignity and further, steals all they hold dear in their precious memories. Alzheimer's really causes us to say goodbye twice; once when your loved one no longer knows who you or they are, and, a second time when they leave this earthly home to go to their forever home. Mom, I miss you so much already but I know today you walked into Jesus' loving arms with no more suffering, and you are now free of all the pain and disease you lived with on this earth. 'I'll carry you in my heart and love you forever...
