Tyrie (Pat) Patterson passed away November 15, 2018. He was born in Baldwin County, Georgia, September 30 1940.
He leaves his wife Alyce, as well as 3 children Tamara (Cliff) Holder, Caren Patterson, Michael Patterson, grandchildren Cameron Patterson and Tori Holder, his other children Jenelle Bartolo and Josh Weber, his sisters Becky (Don) Nelson, Judy (Ron) Carter, and brother Eddie (Marlene) Soles, as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

He was raised on a farm in southern Georgia and joined the Navy where he was stationed in Long Beach, where he met Alyce. After they married he became a local truck driver, eventually starting his own trucking company. He drove trucks for the next 20 years and then joined the Elevator Constructors Union. He built and repaired elevators for about another 20 years and retired from the trade in 2002. His hobbies were many and varied, including camping, dune buggying and ATV riding. And then he moved to the High Desert and found tractors. He spent most of his remaining years driving, repairing and displaying tractors with the HDAPA. He will be missed by many.

Dementia/Alzheimer's go hand in hand. His dementia started trying to take him away from us many years ago, He fought it the best he could. As hard as it was for us we know it was worse for him that is why we are asking in lieu of flowers that you make a donation in his name to Alzheimer research. Thank you.
