Our Dad, Arne Theodore Engkvist, or Ted as he was known, was an amazing person and father. In his life he accomplished so much from playing varsity sports, to being the president of his class, to being a Lt in the Air Force, to being an executive in the phone company, to marrying the love of his life and to raising three awesome kids.
He knew how to love, he knew how to laugh, and he knew how to live. He taught us everything and we owe him so much. And even though he was afflicted with Alzheimer's at the tail of his life, he still tried to lead and definitely kept folks laughing. But he wasn't quite our same Dad. He passed away on Monday (Nov 5, 2018) and is in a better place now. And so it becomes our responsibility to help others so they don't have to see their Dad or their loved ones suffer with this disease. If you can help we would be forever grateful.
