My mother-in-law passed way from Dementia, 2 years ago. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer, a few months ago.
Several of my friend's parents and other family members have been stricken with this dreadful disease.
It's heartbreaking to watch the decline of a loved one while you research and read all the ways to stymie or stop their mental decline. The person you knew before has disappeared and someone totally new is born from this disease.
World Alzheimer's Month is the international campaign every September to raise awareness and challenge the stigma that surrounds dementia. September 2020 will mark the 9th World Alzheimer's Month.
