There was always music in and around Margaret "Peggy" Hefty. She loved to sing, and sang in many choirs throughout her life. She received her Masters in Music Education in her mid-40's. She and her two sisters would sing together at the South Paris Baptist Church in Maine on occasion, and their voices blended so beautifully that it was such a joy to listen to them. Music memories never faded completely, and she was still singing until the end, tunes such as "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean", "Abide With Me", and "We Are the Champions".
