Hello Friends,

Living with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) has not always been an easy feat, but with all of the help and assistance from my family and friends like you, I have learned to manage my symptoms and live the best life possible.  My husband, Randy, and I are still quite heavily involved with our local Alzheimer's chapter by serving as board of directors as well as helping the Alzheimer's Association achieve their public policy initiatives  that are presented at the local, state, and national levels.  These volunteer roles allow Randy and me to raise awareness, reduce stigma of the disease, and advocate to increase funding for research and support programs just to name a few.  We are still very much involved with our  Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Group that meets monthly at our church, Bent Tree Bible Fellowship, in Carrollton. I currently am not involved in a clinical trial for MCI, but I strongly support them since they are the means of finding that eventual cure to Alzheimer's disease. I look forward to participating in a clinical trial soon.
