Strength. Kindness. Patience. Wisdom. A strong will. Add in a healthy dose of humor, and what do you have? The great man known as "Daddy", "James", "PawPaw", and "Uncle James" and "Mr. Davis" depending on one's personal or business relationship with him. A powerful role model, he instilled all of these aforementioned qualities in those whose lives he touched. He may be gone physically, but there is no way that strong spirit will ever be lost or forgotten. James R. Davis fought a courageous battle against Alzheimer's dementia and Congestive Heart Failure. The war was won when on the night of September 27,2013, he slipped quietly and peacefully from this life to his eternal reward thereby happily reuniting with his wife, brother, and, parents. Thank you for your donation in memory of my father to help find a cure for Alzheimer's dementia.

Dorothy and Family,
I spoke with my parents and they informed me about the passing of Mr. Davis. I would like to offer my condolences. Your father was a good man and I enjoyed talking with him on a number of occasions. I would stop by to visit him whenever I traveled to Indianola. He spoke so highly of his family and I commend him for being an excellent role model. He will be missed.
