Cheryl F Smith
March 30, 1944 - May 4, 2024
Cheryl was a beautiful soul, an angel in both life and death. She battled Alzheimer's disease for many years before it took her life.
She’d had signs of it for a couple of years before it was formally diagnosed in 2019. Her father had had Alzheimer's disease as well, and the disease terrified her. She knew she was losing her memory and was very anxious and scared about what was to come.
Cheryl was a huge advocate of Alzheimer's research. She even participated in research studies at the University of Utah’s Neurology department, and donated to Alzheimer's research as well.
We would like to honor her memory by setting up a donation fund in her name. Thank you for donating to such an important cause. This disease takes so much from our loved ones and we are looking forward to how research can improve the outlook for Alzheimer's patients in the future.
